In memory of someone
Many of the Friends’ most generous donations arrive in the post with a short note: “In memory of my husband, who was looked after on Ward 8B last winter.” If you would like us to dedicate a piece of equipment to a particular person, please write to the Honorary Treasurer and we will discuss it with you.
A gift in your will
Legacies have funded some of the most important equipment in the hospital, from the children’s outpatients waiting equipment in 1991 to the original Friends’ Café build-out in 2003. If you are considering naming the Friends in your will, your solicitor will need our registered charity number (220038) and our registered office address. We are happy to discuss restricted legacies in person, in strict confidence.
A standing order
Our oldest standing-order donor has been giving £2 a month since 1971. If you would prefer to set up a standing order rather than a card payment, please download the form from Resources and return it to your bank or post it to us — we will set up the Gift Aid claim from our end.
