We do not work alone. The work of the Friends is held together by a small handful of long-standing partnerships — with the hospital trust, the hospice, the community foundation, the Rotary club, the local college and the town council. Hospital trust · Service-level agreement
The operating trust of Yeovil District Hospital, with whom we agree the annual equipment list and renew the café and shop leases. Lead contact: the medical director.

End-of-life partner · Walk of Light
Yeovil’s hospice charity. We refer enquiries about palliative and end-of-life care to them and co-host the annual Walk of Light each December.

Grants partner · Equipment Appeal
Our grant-giving partner for capital appeals. The Foundation has co-funded three of the Equipment Appeal’s headline items since 2018, including the current ultrasound.

Service partner · Spring Walk
Our partner for the Spring Walk around Ham Hill, marshalled by the Rotary club every April. Together we have raised £41,200 for the Friends since 2014.

Education · Health placements
The college’s health and social-care student placements on the wards and in our café each term. Three current Friends staff trained at Yeovil College.

Local government · Anniversary Supper
Our partner for the Anniversary Supper marquee, the Friends’ trolley parking arrangements at the Westlands, and the trolley round’s annual safety review.
